Former A&R rep and all-around minneapolis music nut, John Kass recently posted eight tracks ripped from a couple of demo tapes that we submitted to his record label back in the mid-90s. You can check out all of the tracks on his blog gojohnnygo.com. I’m including an instrumental track below that’s loaded with some note-y Pro-One lines revealing that I have been using that synth for at least sixteen years. Crazy!

This is the first of a couple of excerpts from our DKO set at the Slam Factory series “Try This” #4 on Friday, July 29, 2011. This live recording sounds pretty good, but we are also planning to spend some time in the studio soon.

Conversations Excerpt
On June 4, 2011 the Battle of Everyouth was staged and performed outside of the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA). I performed improvisational music non-stop for three hours with Luke Anderson (electronics), Jon Davis (bass, bass clarinet), and Graham O’Brien (drums, percussion). This video documentation is accompanied by bit and pieces from the board mix during the event. My instrumentation included the Rhodes electric piano, Sequential Circuits Pro-One, Electro-Harmonix Memory Man Delay, and Korg Monotron.
