Battle of Everyouth Video Documentation

On June 4, 2011 the Battle of Everyouth was staged and performed outside of the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA). I performed improvisational music non-stop for three hours with Luke Anderson (electronics), Jon Davis (bass, bass clarinet), and Graham O’Brien (drums, percussion). This video documentation is accompanied by bit and pieces from the board mix during the event. My instrumentation included the Rhodes electric piano, Sequential Circuits Pro-One, Electro-Harmonix Memory Man Delay, and Korg Monotron.

Photon Coercion Video

Photon Coercion is the second track from the debut album by Ostracon titled Unauthorized Modifications. The video is a compilation of footage from the “light controllers” that I use to generate the music using the GMS. The album will be released electronically tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 and available from all the major electronic outlets as well as directly from Unearthed Music. Check out the latest Kutiman song that he created by shooting video of musicians while wandering around Jerusalem. I love Kutiman’s previous work with YouTube videos. This track sounds haunting and beautiful and is a pleasure to watch. A very special piece indeed!

MKS-80 Through the MOTU Audio Express Oscilloscope

A fantastic new episode of Electric Independence features an interview with synth-pop pioneer John Foxx in his amazing East London studio. Some of the gear he demos in his studio includes an Arp Odyssey a Moog Modular, a Korg Mono/Poly, and the Roland CR-78 drum machine.
