Cuba Illinois is the last track on Precambrian Resonance. I produced this experimental ambient piece last September and have made very few changes from the first version that can be heard in the original Audio Cookbook post titled Cuba, Illinois. A consistent thread through piece is made up of sampled vowels sounds running through a vocoder. Here’s the full-length mastered preview on Last.fm.

Unearthed Music has made all of Precambrian Resonance available as full-length 128kbps MP3 previews on Unearthed Music. The entire album is also streaming on last.fm. Here’s track eight, Hamamatsu No. G210. You might remember a rough mix of it from an earlier entry, which revealed how the title came about, and mentioned a release date of March 24, 2009. So, technically I’m four months late on this project. Although negotiating postponement was not an issue, since I’m a label partner. In any case, it’s done and I’m happy with the results.

Although it looks as though I just mashed the keyboard with the capslock on, the title of this entry is an acronym for “Yet Another Pre[C]ambrian Resonance Track Preview”. In just twelve days Precambrian Resonance will be released and I will have posted 365 daily sounds on AudioCookbook.org. This piece, titled Forgetten Complex, is a bit of a departure from the earlier examples posted for preview. It was originally exhibited on ACB, and rather than a percussion driven piece Forgotten Complex relies on ambient Rhodes and other processed sound effects to create the lonely atmosphere of an abandoned warehouse.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2009, I announced that my solo album, Precambrian Resonance, is available for pre-release orders. In addition there are full-length previews of many of the tracks on the album available on Unearthed Music.
